As all of us across the country were, we were shocked and saddend by the tragic shootings at Sandy Hill
Elementry School. No one could believe that these young lives and those of the heroic teachers were taken.
This tragedy has taken on a personal meaning for me when I found out that one of those lives taken was the
life of one of my best friends son.
Mark Barden, a fantastic guitar player and even better person, lost his son Daniel. When I read the email
he sent, I sat there in disbelief. I said "No," about a million times and had to read the list of names several times
before it sank in.
Mark's neice has started a Facebook page entitled What would Daniel Do. I ask and encourage all of you who read this to please go to that page and add it, like it, do whatever we can so that this
kind of thing never happens again.
